The Warning Book

The Warning Book is a collection of images downloaded from the Warning.Camera Instagram page, a self-referential photo archive that records the distribution of, and interaction with, the ‘Warning’ sticker, designed by Bafic in (2019). The ‘Warning’ sticker lives on phones, mirrors, cats, car keys, faces, suitcases, money, newspapers, perishable goods and more. The book includes images that were posted between August 2019 and October 2022, including images that were posted twice. At its core ‘Warning’ is about our relationship with images vs/and our relationship with ourselves. Outside of that core idea, it’s a portrait of today, the memes, the emojis, the politics, the culture, the system, the people.
